Learn how to remain present with yourself while supporting your client during work with "unfinished business" in the field. I've created the "Gestaltcards" - field-support markers to guide you. Discover the theory behind these tools and master the technique by exploring your own personal "unfinished gestalts".

GESTALT THERAPY

My priority as a teacher, supervisor, and therapist is maintaining access to the beauty and art of "gestalting." I recognize that regularly addressing my own unfinished gestalts is essential; it creates a space for genuine connection and growth between me and my students, clients, or supervisees.
This approach is based on humanistic psychology, highlighting the power of the therapeutic bond. Developed by Laura and Fritz Perls along with Paul Goodman in the mid-20th century, it blends Gestalt psychology with existential-phenomenological philosophy.

THE FIELD IS TRULY VIBRANT. Simply put, in Gestalt therapy theory, we believe healing occurs through the relationship with the therapist. We affect one another constantly, and these interactions create new possibilities in the field.
It is vital that I work through my own unfinished business as a practitioner so I can facilitate these new experiences. This reduces the need for outdated creative adjustments in the present moment.
Joseph Zinker noted that if we fail to process "unfinished events" or gestalts from our past, they continue to disrupt our lives. He saw Gestalt therapy as a way to complete this unfinished business—making us whole so we can move forward freely.

ONLINE INTERNATIONAL CONTINUING EDUCATION

Running from December 2026 to December 2027
MANAGING UNFINISHED BUSINESS
THROUGH THE FIELD SUPPORT METHOD
Are you looking for ways to handle unfinished business, incomplete gestalts, or trauma within your practice? This online continuing education program is designed for qualified Gestalt therapists. Our learning style is experiential; you will learn the method by exploring and processing your own unfinished gestalts.
The training offers 88 hours of approved Category B guidance and 15 hours of approved Category A PFO guidance.
A new international cohort (limited to 22 participants) begins in December 2026. The program consists of eight two-day sessions held over one year. All meetings take place digitally via Zoom on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Two separate days are dedicated to supervision of your own practice (Category A). Individual follow-up is available for those who need extra support.
